ABOUT INTERFACE X

The Interface Lab is Istanbul Technical University's virtual laboratory at Harbiye, Taşkışla Cd. No:2, 34367 Şişli/İstanbul. The lab is situated at the intersection of landscape design, architecture, and game development; this state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of immersive experiences and revolutionizing how we interact with virtual environments.

The primary focus of our Lab is the advancement of virtual reality technologies and techniques, with a particular emphasis on their application in Simulation, landscape design, architecture, and game development. By leveraging the power of VR, the lab seeks to transform these fields by providing a heightened level of user well-being, interactivity, user engagement, and less cybersickness.

One of the lab's key objectives is to enhance the quality of immersive experiences for users. This involves exploring and refining various aspects of VR, including visual and auditory fidelity, realistic physics simulations, haptic feedback, and intuitive user interfaces. By integrating these elements seamlessly, Interface X Research Lab aims to create virtual environments that feel authentic, captivating, and indistinguishable from reality.

The interdisciplinary nature of the lab enables collaborations between experts from diverse fields, such as landscape architecture, computer science, interactive arts, and human-computer interaction.
